Contractor Information

The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club on a limited bases provides range and classroom facilities for use by contractors. The descriptions and limitations described on this page are for general information. Additional specific requirements may be required.

The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club does not act as an agent for any group that has contracted for range usage.

General Contracted Usage:

All contracted usage of the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club range and classroom requires the following items:

  1. Board of Directors Meeting: A meeting with the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club Board of Directors is required by the owner or duly appointed representative of the contracting agency. At this meeting an explanation of the activity and requirements for the activity by the contractor is to be made to the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club Board of Directors.
  2. Contract: Upon approval of the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club Board of Directors, the contractor must complete the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club two copies of the standard contract. The contracts must have the signature of the owner or duly appointed representative of the contracting agency and of the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club Board of Directors to be completed, in addition to any additional information or conditions stipulated by the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club Board of Directors.
  3. Proof of Insurance: All contractors must supply their own liability insurance in the amount of no less than 1 million dollars, with the specific addition to the policy that states that the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc and the City of Boulder City are listed as also insured.
  4. Range Safety Officer: All contractors must provide the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club information regarding the presence of "qualified" Range Safety Officers, who must be in attendance at all times when contractor events are conducted. The Range Safety Officer qualifications will be reviewed by the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club Board of Directors.
  5. Release of Liability: All contractors must have all attendees at their events to sign a release of liability form, provided by the club prior to the beginning of the event, this includes instructors, students/participators and observers.
    The releases are then to be sent in to the club with your payment for range use.
    In the event of an injury, the Release of Liabilities must be made immediately available to the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club.
  6. Membership: Membership in the Boulder Rifle and Pistol is required for the owner or duly appointed representative of the contracting agency. Membership requirement is needed to obtain the combination to the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club range gates and orientation to range operations.

Contracted Bay Usage:

The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club normally contracts for the usage of a single shooting bay or shotgun throwing station per contractor event. The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club has two 15 yard bays dedicated to training and small group usage by contract. A deeper bay of the Courtesy Range or Member Range can be reserved. All bay reservations are on a first come, first serve bases.

Classroom Usage:

The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club maintains a classroom on the Courtesy Range for the clubs training activities. When the training classroom is not in use by the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club, it can be rented by contractors. The training classroom has a electric power generator, lights, white board, tables and chairs for 21 attendees and set up for a laptop and projector setup. The contractor must supply the laptop and projector units. The charge for usage of the training classroom is:

Scheduling of Range and Classroom Usage:

To schedule range time or usage of the training trailer, at least 2 working days notice must be received at scheduler@brpc1.org. Range space and access to the training trailer is given out on a first come, first served basis. Arrangement for range usage dates cannot be made until after completion of all contracting and insurance requirements. Major Range Usage:

The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club defines major range usage, as any event that closes down more then 2 shooting bays or shotgun throwing stations, excluding monthly scheduled Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club activities. The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club only considers one such major range usage event per quarter, including the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club major non-monthly events.

Contract conditions and payments for major range usage must be negotiated on a case per case bases with Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club Board of Directors.
