International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts (ICORE)
ICORE promotes action shooting competition with revolvers. The ICORE shooters at Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club call themselves the “Reservation Dogs”. You can find them listed on the International ICORE website.
The ICORE shooting held at the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club consists of 3 – 4 courses of fire held on third Saturday of the month. Additional events are posted on the club Events Calendar page.
Additional ICORE Events
Beginning with 2014, Reservation Dogs will hold, in addition to ICORE events and classifiers, two new matches. About every third month we will hold a “Zombie match” for any pistol, as long as it can drop the steel. Come and get’em! Rule sheets will be passed out at the event. We will also hold a “BUG match”. BUG stands for Back Up Gun. As you know, a back up gun is small, maximum of 3 1/2 inches and holding up to 8 rounds. Not only revolvers, but semis are welcome to participate. Basic requirements for a BUG are: .32 caliber minimum; iron sights, no laser or optics, 3 1/2 inch barrel, use of speed loaders or moon clips allowed; holster and ammo carriers must be street style and mounted behind the center line; belts around the waist and through the loops; no competition or cross draw or shoulder holsters or wearing at the small of the back allowed.
