WE ARE WELCOMING JUNIORS TO A BRAND NEW PROGRAM, THE JUNIOR SHOOTING PROGRAM. WE NEED JUNIORS, ALONG WITH THEIR PARENT/GUARDIAN, FROM AGES 12 YEARS TO 21 YEARS OF AGE TO FILL SPOTS ON THE TEAM. THESE SPOTS ARE OPEN TO ANY JUNIOR WHO WOULD LIKE TO LEARN HOW TO SHOOT SAFELY AND ENJOY THE COMPANY OF OTHERS OF LIKE MIND AND AGE.
WE ARE ALSO PLANNING OTHER JUNIOR ACTIVITIES FOR THIS TEAM, SUCH AS SMALL BORE RIFLE COMPETITIONS WITH PRIZES, DIFFERENT GUEST SPEAKERS CONCERNING SHOOTING SPORTS, AS WELL AS THE POSSIBILITY OF SOME TRIPS TO SHOOTER RELATED PLACES. THIS TEAM IS NOT JUST FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE BRPC, ANY JUNIOR ALONG WITH THEIR PARENT/GUARDIAN IS WELCOME.
The Juniors program will hold its first session on the third saturday of March (03/16/02) in the Boulder City Multi-Purpose Building located in Central Park. This first session will cover REQUIRED range safety training that all junior shooters must complete before being allowed to shoot on the range.
