BOULDER RIFLE AND PISTOL CLUB
On January 4, 2014 the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club will hold its annual meeting in the Boulder City Masonic Hall starting at 6 P.M. The Boulder City Masonic Hall is located at 901 Arizona St. next to the police station. Parking is the city lot located between the Boulder Dam Credit Union and the Senior Center. The city parking includes spaces on both side of Arizona St.
At this meeting the election of Board Officers will be held. As a reminder, the rules for the election require that the candidates be full members, present at the meeting, nominated from the membership and that only current full club members can vote. Holding up your membership card will indicate your membership and right to vote during the election. Please remember to bring your membership card or pick up your new one when you check in for the meeting.
The election is for the board officer positions only, not specific positions, as the Chair and Vice-Chair of the board are elected by the board members from among themselves, after the general election of for the vacant board seats.
In addition to the elections the current state of projects, upcoming events and etc. will be reported on to the membeship. Feed back on new projects or shooting disciplines is welcome, but please keep in mind that if no one volunteers to take on the new tasks or shooting disciplines, it will not happen.
Due to a lack of ammo, the Venture Crew 45 decided to cancel the Steel Challenged scheduled for 9/21/2013.
The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club’s Trap Club has been authorized to hold ATA BIG 50 shoots, on October 22, November 5, and 19, December 3, and 17, 2013 and 500 ATA shoots on November 2 and 3, 2013. ATA Rules will govern these events and all scores will be registered with the ATA. You can download PDF files with more details of the ATA BIG 50 and the 500 ATA events.
The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club’s Trap Club will host the PITA shoot on September 21 and 22nd, 2013. All the fees, times, events information is in the Brochure and targets can be cross registered with the ATA. PITA is offering free membership to those who come shoot the full program.
The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club introduces a brand new shooting discipline for 2013 combining Metallic Silhouette and 1000 yard bench
rest into one new exciting game. As in Silhouette, the shooter will be presented steel targets in banks of five at four distances that must
be knocked over to be scored as a hit. Shooters will be assigned a concrete bench and target bay for use in placing their equipment and
rifles to engage the target(s). As in silhouette, a match will consist of 40 shots fired for record, 10 shots at each distance and different
steel animal targets. The match winner will be the competitor who knocks over the greatest number of targets of the combined distances (best of 40).
The summer matchs will be held on the following Sundays, 13 July 2013, 10 August 2013 and 14 September 2013.
Registration is promptly at 0730 with first shots fired at 0745.
Cost: $5 for members and $10 for non-members.

The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club board of directors have decided to move the 2013 summer meeting due to the large turn out last year. The location this year is the Boulder City Masonic Hall located at 901 Arizona St., next to the Boulder City police station and around the corner from the Boulder Dam Credit Union. Parking is available between the Boulder Dam Credit Union and the Senior Center. The location is the only change to the normal mid-year meeting. The club will provide the main meal items and dessert. Please bring a side dish to share.
The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club member Silhouette range will be closed April 17 - 21, 2013 for the Buffalo Shoot Black Powder event.
The Eldorado Cowboy Shooters will hold their annual Best Shoot By A Dam Site on May 4 & 5, 2013, this will require closing the shooting pits on member side of the range for the preceding Friday and Monday for setup and take down.
