BOULDER RIFLE AND PISTOL CLUB
Access to the member range is restricted by a combination lock, the combination can be found on your membership card. The combination is changed annually on January 1. Pleases be sure to lock the gate when going both ways, unless the courtesy range is open.
The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club membership card is required for entry to the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club members range and for use of the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club courtesy range at no charge, when space on the courtesy range is available. Presentation of the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club membership card is required when requested by Range Safety Officers or Range Masters of the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club.
Below is a description of the shooting areas of the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc. range and a listing of the relative major safety, restrictions, and operation rules. A complete set of safety, restrictions, operational rules is available on the range, look for posted signs or check with the duty Range Safety Officer and on our safety rules page. Follow all Range Safety Officer directions and decisions.
The members range is an uncontrolled shooting range consisting of 4 areas detailed below. Please share and use common courtesy and consideration for all. The members range is open dawn to dusk. Night usage must be arranged with the club office at least 2 working days in advanced by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The member range contains 8 Action Pits (Shooting Bays), 3 of 25 yards deep and 5 of 100 yards deep each with shade cover, shooting bench, picnic table and target key way. The Action Pits are wide enough for several shooting parties to share. Shooters must provide their own targets that can be fixed to the available target frames cardboard front ( 36 " high by 24 " wide). Target frames can be obtained from the Range Safety Officer. If the Courtesy Range is closed, look on the South end of the office. A large parking lot is located to the west of the action pits. Please follow the range safety rules for the usage:
The member silhouette range contains shade cover, multiple shooting benches, picnic tables and fixed iron targets from 200 Meters to 800 Meters. The silhouette range firing line area is wide enough for several shooting parties to share. A parking log is located to the north of the silhouette range, do not block the access way with your vehicle. Please follow the range safety rules for the usage:
The member shotgun range has been closed due to the city taking the shot fall out area back for the southern bypass preperation work. The members can use the shotgun area in the courtesy range which is located to the south of theshooting bays. Please check with the RSO if the courtesy range is open to the public.
The member high power rifle range is only used for club sponsored events and is not open for general shooting due to safety concerns.
The courtesy range is open to the limited members, only on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturdays, Sundays and Monday Federal holidays from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M., weather and events permitting. The courtesy range may be closed due adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain or excessive heat combined with low usage. Check with the club information number (702.293.1885) for updates of range closures. This range is available to the full members the rest of the week.
The rest room facilities consist of port-a-potties, the only water available can be purchased from the on duty Range Safety Officer.
All users of the courtesy range, limited members or members, must check in with the on duty Range Safety Officer (RSO). The RSO will assign bays, collect range and target frame rent. Current pricing, duration of range usage and target frame return policy is available from the RSO. Shooters must provide their own targets that can be fixed to the rented target frame cardboard front ( 36 " high by 24 " wide), ammuniations, firearms safety gear and etc.
The courtesy range contains 10 shooting bays of various depths; 4 bays of 25 yards, 2 bays of 50 yards, 1 bay of 75 yards and 3 bays of 100 yards. The 100 yard bays have bench rests. All bays have shade cover, picnic table and target key way. A large parking lot is located to the west of the shooting bays.
The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club is in the process of adding a new 200 yard bay to the range. It is currently open to the public on as is bases unless work is being done to complete the facility.

The courtesy range contains two ground base clay bird throwers anchored in concrete. Shooters must provide their own bio-degradable clay birds. A large parking lot is located to the east of the clay bird throwers. Please follow the range safety rules for the usage:
The training range consists of 2 bays of 15 yards deep located to the north of the courtesy range bays and separated by a gate. All bays have lights, shade cover, picnic table and target key ways at 3, 5, 7 and 15 yards. Parking in the training range area is restricted to instructors and support staff. Student parking is located to the south on the training trailers located on the north end of the courtesy range parking lot.
The training facilities contains two classrooms with a capacity of 21 and 30 students, wiring for a laptop/projection system in the larger unit, generator to power the classroom and bay lights.
