N.R.A. APPROVED HIGH POWER RIFLE TOURNAMENT

The Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club holds the N.R.A. Approved High Power Rifle Tournament each year, the dates vary year to year. Below will find the information on the next N.R.A. Approved High Power Rifle Tournament Facility and accommodation information can be found in other sections of the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club web site.

Match Dates:

February 25-26, 2012

Match Location:

Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club Members Range.

Match Times:

Squadding: 7:00 AM. All matches will be squadded.  Squadding /score cards will be available from the stat office. A competitor who fails to obtain his squadding/score card by 07:40 will only be squadded to fill vacancies on the line at the discretion of the match director.
Commence firing: 08:00 AM all days.

Match Fees:

Matches 1 thru 5 $40.00
Match 6 thru 8 $20.00
Juniors half price for all matches

45 competitors

Entries close: 2400 hours on 20 February 2012
Advance Entries: Required.

Entry Fee Payment:

Make check or money order payable to “BRPC”.

Entry registration by check or money order and must be accompanied by a NRA "SR-1" form/card for each competitor. Circle the number of each event in which you wish to fire. Be sure to indicate your correct NRA classification and NRA member number.

Entry Refunds: All Competitors that have sent in their enter fees must write or e-mail the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club no later than February 20, 2012 to receive their entry fee back. If you do not write you will not receive your fee. Please see the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club Refund Policy page for specifics of getting a refund.
Post Entries: Accepted to Match Limit. A $10.00 late entry fee will be charged.
Challenge Fees: Each Challenge will be $2.00.

Match Schedule:

Beginning 08:00, Day One
Match 1 200 yards 2 sighters, 20 rounds for score, slow fire, standing, 22 min.
Match 2 200 yards 2 sighters, 2 strings of ten rounds, rapid fire, sitting or kneeling from standing, 60 sec per string.
Match 3 300 yards 2 sighters, 2 strings of ten rounds, rapid fire, prone from standing, 70 sec per string.
Match 4 600 yards 2 sighters, 20 rounds for score, slow fire prone, 22 min.
Match 5 Grand aggregate, Match 1,2,3,4  
Beginning 08:00, Day Two
Match 6 600 yards Any rifle/iron sights and F-Class. Unlimited sighter shots and 20 rounds for record from the prone position (Rule 5.6) within 22 minute time limit.
Match 7 600 yards Anyrifle/iron sights and F-Class. Unlimited sighter shots and 20 rounds for record from the prone position (Rule 5.6) within 22 minute time limit.
Match 8 Grand aggregate, Matches 6 and 7.  

Match Rules:

NRA High Power rules.

Match Rifle:

NRA Match rifle and Service rifle (matches 1-8), NRA Any Rifle and F-Class (matches 6-8).

Match Classification:

NRA Classification will be used. Unclassified will compete as Masters. If less than 5 competitors, classes will be combined. High Masters will not combine & will compete for match winner only.

Match Targets:

SR, SR-3, MR-1.

Match Target Pulling:

Will be done by competitors.

Match Scoring:

Will be done by competitors.

Match Awards:

Will be Cash. One award per 5 in each class.

Match Location:

Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club Members Range.

R.V. Camping on Range:

Over night camping on the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club range during the N.R.A. Approved High Power Rifle Tournament can be made by prior arrangement via the match coordinator. Space is limited and given out on a first come, first served bases.
