BOULDER CITY RANGE RULES

All area references refer to the Boulder City Rifle Range. See the Maps Page for the range map.


Range Usage Rules



This range is leased from Boulder City and is considered PRIVATE PROPERTY under the

supervision of the Boulder Rifle and Pistol Club, Inc.(BRPC).



THESE RULES ARE OFFICIAL BOARD POLICIES.



SCHEDULED CLUB EVENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS HAVE FIRST PRIORITY OVER ANY GENERAL SHOOTING

BY CLUB MEMBERS OR THE GENERAL PUBLIC.



Area A:	This area is limited to shotguns only using #6 or smaller shot! 



Area B:	These shooting bays are for scheduled club events and commercial/law enforcement

        qualification courses, and are NOT OPEN to general shooting because Area C has to

        be closed down to use Area B.



Area C:	The high power rifle range 200, 300, and 600 yard firing lines are reserved for

        high power rifle shooting. Downrange areas MUST be checked to see that they are

        free of other shooters, range personnel, or the general public. This is not a

        plinking area.

	Special Caution: Watch for vehicles using the pit road.



Area D:	The 1000 yard line is CLOSED to all shooting except for 1000 yard high power rifle

        practices and matches as the ENTIRE RANGE must be closed down to use this area



Area E:	Due to ricochet danger, the covered silhouette firing area is reserved to shooting

        only into the bullet impact banks behind the steel targets. Anytime a shooter,

        range personnel, or the general public is in Area C, DO NOT shoot to the left of

        the chicken dingers. This is not a plinking area.



Area F:	The Courtesy Range is open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday Holidays

        from 8:00 A.M. till 4:00 P.M. except during high power rifle matches. Handgun, rifle,

        rimfire or center fire shooting is acceptable. This IS the plinking area.

        This range is unsupervised at times for club member usage only and should be used at your own risk.



SHOOTING OF GLASS IS NEVER ALLOWED IN ANY AREA OF THE RANGE!!



OBSERVE THE NO SHOOTING AREAS!! PLEASE !!



The range is open from dawn to dusk everyday except during range work days,

high power rifle matches, and during designated club or commercial activities.

It is your range and YOU need to use it wisely and HELP keep it CLEAN.

Leave nothing take away more than you bring to help the cleanliness.

Do pick up after others who do not respect the range.



REPORT VANDALS to the BC Police (*BCP on a cell phone) and the BRPC telephone 702.293.1885.

Do not confront them yourselves. There is a reward leading to the arrest and conviction

of vandals who destroy property on the rifle range. If others are shooting in an unsafe

manner, it would be best to leave to protect your own safety and come back at a later time.
